  • Pool Display Centre Melbourne: Warrandyte

The Warrandyte Pool Display Centre is one of Melbourne's most established swimming pool display destinations. Established alongside the very first Albatross pool built in 1969, the centre showcases five pool designs set within expansive, fully landscaped gardens on a sloped, multi-level property. Located at 226 Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road, opposite Warrandyte High School, the centre gives Melbourne pool buyers the chance to compare real in-ground pools in a mature outdoor setting before starting their project. Open seven days a week, no appointment required.

Melbourne's Most Established Swimming Pool Display Centre

Unlike indoor pool showrooms that display fibreglass shells under a roof, the Warrandyte centre gives you the experience of walking around real, in-ground pools surrounded by mature gardens that have been growing for more than 50 years. Each pool is set within an individually landscaped zone that mirrors the conditions of a real suburban backyard, giving you a genuine sense of pool size, depth, and proportions before a single decision is made.

    • Five pool designs on display, ranging from compact plunge pools to a 10m lap-length rectangle
    • The deepest display pool reaches over 3.0m, letting visitors experience the true scale of a deep-end pool
    • Set across multiple levels in developed, established gardens, not a factory or showroom floor
    • Open seven days a week, no appointment required
    • Free parking on site

    Our Pool Display Designs

    Octagonal Pool Design

The very first Albatross pool built, dating back to 1969, the octagonal display pool is the first you encounter as you enter the centre. Spanning 9m in diameter and bordered by palms, aged timber sleepers, and rockery, it is a living demonstration of the strength and longevity of the Albatross pre-engineered steel system.

    Small Rectangle Pool Design

Featuring a premium mosaic pool interior and surrounded by rich patterned terracotta tiles, the small rectangle pool is frequently mistaken for a fully tiled concrete pool. Despite being one of the smaller designs on display, it represents one of the most common pool sizes for suburban family backyards across Melbourne.

    Pool Size: 7.2m x 3.6m | Pool Depth: 1.2m | Pool Colour: Caribbean

    Kidney Pool Design

Partly elevated above natural ground level, the large kidney pool features the Antique interior, which creates a natural lagoon appearance on a sunny day. The display includes a bench seat in the shallows, and visitors can discuss how the Albatross system can be customised to add multiple comfort seats and varied pool depths to suit individual lifestyle and design preferences.

    Pool Size: 9.8m x 4.8m | Pool Depth: 1.2m | Pool Colour: Kiama

    Large Rectangle Pool Design

Located at the lowest point of the display centre, the large rectangle pool is the longest on display and gives visitors a true sense of the proportions that a full-size pool can offer. Originally featuring a diving board and later used by the local Warrandyte scuba diving school owing to its generous depth, the pool now reaches 3.0m at the deep end and remains one of the most striking pools in the centre.

    Pool Size: 10m x 5m | Pool Depth: 1.2m to 3.0m | Pool Colour: Costa Rica

    Small Plunge Pool Design

Set in what was once an unused sloped area of the display centre, the Classique Courtyard Series pool is partially elevated between 0.3m and 0.6m above natural ground level and encased in bluestone. A cascading water feature, mustard cladded wall, and rendered bench seat create the feel of a compact backyard space, showing how a plunge pool can work in a smaller suburban block.

    FAQs

Do I need to book an appointment to visit the Warrandyte pool display centre?

No booking is required. The Warrandyte Display Centre is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Walk-ins are welcome any time during opening hours. If you would like to arrange a dedicated session with one of our pool consultants, call (03) 9844 3114.

How many pool designs can I see at the Warrandyte swimming pool display?

There are five pool designs on display at the Warrandyte centre, including an octagonal pool, small rectangle, kidney, large rectangle, and small plunge pool. Each is set within an individually landscaped area across a multi-level garden property, giving you a realistic sense of how each design looks and feels in an outdoor backyard setting.

What is the oldest pool display centre in Australia?

The Albatross Pools Warrandyte Display Centre holds that distinction. The very first Albatross pool, built in 1969, is still on display at the centre today. The fact that it remains in excellent condition after more than 55 years is a direct demonstration of the durability of the Albatross pre-engineered steel system.

What makes Albatross Pools different from fibreglass pool builders?

Albatross builds using a custom pre-engineered steel system, which means each pool is designed and built to suit your specific backyard, soil, and lifestyle requirements. There are no pre-set fibreglass shapes or sizes to choose from. You can specify the exact dimensions, depths, features, and finishes that work for your property, with the ability to include features like variable depths, multiple bench seats, and infloor cleaning systems.

Where is the Warrandyte pool display centre located?

The Warrandyte Pool Display Centre is located at 226 Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road, Warrandyte VIC 3133, off Bellbird Place and opposite Warrandyte High School. It is accessible from Melbourne’s eastern suburbs via the Eastern Freeway and Springvale Road, with free parking available on site.

Can I see both Albatross pool display centres in Melbourne?

Yes. Albatross Pools operates two display centres in Melbourne, located in Warrandyte and Dandenong. Each centre has a different selection of pool designs, so visiting both can help you compare more styles, sizes and finishes before starting your pool project.
